Hello, when i try to make an entry in the guestbook this error occurs:

Data too long for column 'ip_address' at row 1

How can i solve this?

I use Joomla 4

Michael, I'm so sorry. It's a bug.
I just check it again, seem as captcha just works for the comment section.
I will update it soon!

For now, please use the file I attached below and replace to components/com_jlexguestbook/assets/script.js
Then, clear the cache of your browser and try again.
I hope it will work well!

Hey Victor, hm please understand that i not want to give unknown persons access to the backend of my site ... There must be a bug in your module, which is the reason that recaptcha will not appear. Because in all other extensions on my page it works. And on the Guestbook Section there are also no other modules or plug-ins which could interfer. Thanks, Michael P.S.: I will install the new Joomla 4.1 the next days - maybe this could solve the problem...

Hey Victor, sorry for the delay - i was busy.... Hm that doesnt work ... i tried recaptcha v2 and 3 ... and its on in the system settings too... hm as you see in the comments on the site it works (screenshot).... Thanks ....

But the only Problem is now that Items are generated and visible in the Backend but doesnt appear in the Frontend :'(

How can i solve this?

And Captcha doesnt show up in the Frontend, too but on all other Extensions on my page. Maybe its the path? "Relative" works in the other Extensions...

Yes it works now with v1.5.7...forget to Enable "SHOW IN FRONTEND" :)

But the Captcha - Problem remains...It doesnt appear in Frontend...But on all other extensions... hmmm

Yes, you also need to configure a captcha for JLex Guestbook. In the settings, please scroll down to "Restriction", select "Captcha" is "reCaptcha", then enter the necessary parameters to enable it.
If it still does not work, please give me your site access, I will check it soon ;)
