Updates: Release JLex Helpful v1.9.2 🥳

Easy Social & JLex Block

Paul
Hi, hi
I am wondering if the following is possible.
Protect one of several groups on an Easy Social Group Page.
Protect it in 2 ways:
a) force you to login using Easy Social and not Joomla
b) AFTER login get you to enter password.
If I can force users who want t view ES Social Group XYZ to:
First login and then enter a password then I would like to purchase your JLex Block  product-
thanks
Paul

Hi,
Because the Group may show in user timeline, the user still join this group without press password. So according to me, the best way is replace "Join Group" button by redirect to your Group page where we will protect by password. (The "Join Group" button just visible for member, so guest must login through ES). We can replace this button by using JLex Block also.
Looking forward your opinion :)

Hi,

Thank you for your fast and thought through reply :-)
It really sounds as if this might just work....
And that is an excellent point you make.

*****Workflow as of now for open ES Groups**********

As far as I can see not logged in the group appears here on the group page:
https://www.finalbug.net/groups-learn-post-production-socially-fcpx-and-more/categories/11-studygroups/all/latest
Also here as you suggest when navigating from the stream:
https://www.finalbug.net/groups-learn-post-production-socially-fcpx-and-more/34-fcpx-foundations-videos
Clicking join group will open a register pop up menu.
Once I am logged in/registered I can navigate to the join group and click Join Group and I automatically am a member:

*****Workflow as of now for open ES Groups & JLex Block **********

I am just thinking aloud here but maybe all I need is:
A password protection for group XYZ on Group pages & the Group page for anyone who is logged in.
https://www.finalbug.net/groups-learn-post-production-socially-fcpx-and-more/categories/11-studygroups/all/latest
https://www.finalbug.net/groups-learn-post-production-socially-fcpx-and-more/34-fcpx-foundations-videos
You either have the password or do not.
If you do you can join the group?

Right?

The “Only” problem that I see is that you need these pages to need to behave differently depending on whether the user is logged in or not!?!
logged = normal ES Register
not logged = JLex Block enter password to join group!
Maybe you see a way to get this to work?
One last question could I store the password in my browser keychain so that if I return again to group XYZ I do not need to enter the password again?
As I say I am very happy to buy this product as long as it does what I am asking :-)

thanks in advance
Paul

Hi,
Thanks for your reply !
You can set JLex Block only work with member.
1. logged: When click to "Join Group" button, the page will redirect to Group page where they must enter password.
2. not logged: When click to "Join Group", a login/register popup of ES will be shown, the user must login. After login, the user will redirect to Group page where they must enter password.
- If the user not login and access directly to Group page, they must enter correct password, then must login by ES to join this group.
